ACADEMIC GOALS

The Professional course in Accessories and Jewellery Design aims to train new professionals in the creative fields of jewellery and accessories, focusing on the knowledge of the most innovative techniques and expertise in this area.

In fact, great importance will be given to manual and technical drawing, to 3D modelling dedicated to the design of jewellery models, but also to research in the history of applied arts, design, the history of art and jewellery from a design perspective and anthropologically combined with the investigation of contemporary jewellery concepts that respond to fashions, hybridizations and the fluid confirmation of today’s society.

A characterizing point of the course of study consists in the knowledge and analysis of sustainable and cutting-edge materials increasingly used in 3D printing processes and in the design creation and prototyping phases.

In addition to the development of aesthetic and technical skills, it is essential for the designer of tomorrow to know how to move in the field of communication and brand strategy in order to be able to best present their product. And that is why part of the course of study will focus on product communication, from art direction to digital marketing, passing through packaging.

COURSE STRUCTURE

The course consists of 250 hours of frontal lessons. In line with the philosophy of the Quasar Method, which allows each student to develop their potential, taking full advantage of every opportunity to put theoretical knowledge into practice, each student will be involved in the design of a jewel and an accessory with the possibility of using the tools and machinery of Quasar Lab, the latest generation digital manufacturing laboratory.

PROFESSIONAL LANDSCAPE

The main goal e of the Professional course in Accessories and Jewellery Design is to train specialized designers who have all the tools to better control and communicate their product idea also through three-dimensional modelling and the use of software dedicated to digital image processing.

The future designer will thus be able to join specialized companies, goldsmith firms or propose himself as a freelancer for collaborations with fashion houses and stylists.

The lecturers of the Quasar Institute for Advanced Design Professional courses are prominent professionals in their respective operational fields; figures for some time involved in partnerships and collaborations with important production and research environments, as well as qualified for many years of commitment in the training area.

DIPLOMA
