ADI, the Association for Industrial Design, awarded Anty Pansera, member of Quasar Institute Scientific Committee, with the Compasso d’Oro for Lifetime Achievement, the most authoritative international design award since 1954.
Anty Pansera, critic and historian of design and decorative and applied arts, member of the Scientific Committee of the Quasar Institute for Advanced Design since 2019, has been awarded the Compasso d’Oro for Lifetime Achievement. This is the motivation of the jury of the XXVI Edition 2020: “Anty Pansera tells about herself:« I’m not an architect! I have always claimed my classical education, my degree in the history of art criticism. ” An original look at the world of design, based on an education linked to classical culture and the history of art criticism, has allowed her to create original and fundamental texts to understand the phenomenon of Made in Italy in its broadest sense. A commitment that is never dogmatic but always committed to bringing the culture of the project into wide professional territories, which include that of teaching as well as that of dissemination through memorable exhibitions. “.
Honored to receive this very important award, Anty Pansera said: “First of all I thank ADI for this recognition that encourages me to go on in my work with grit and determination, as I have always done since the first years of activity and that makes me continue to love design more and more. My relationship with this discipline for which I must be grateful especially to Alfonso Grassi who helped me to sink my roots as an art historian and critic in the culture of design, in years when it was not easy for a woman in certain areas more than in others, but perhaps my having always been an outsider has facilitated me and, thanks to my historical-critical training, I was able to dialogue, work and collaborate always on an equal footing with many architects and designers, despite not having an background as a designer “.
All the Quasar Institute for Advanced Design staff, the faculty and the members of the Scientific Committee express their pride and congratulate Anty Pansera for the prestigious award.
