Self-produced design is becoming increasingly popular. Self-production is a kind of affirmation of autonomy, but also a real self-promotional strategy. Other times, it’s rather a step towards forms of highly artisanal forms of production, between single pieces and small series. Self-production can become the main way for young designers, moved by the renewed interest in manual and direct experimentations on the subject.

This course is for people of all ages who are curious to experience the artisanal aspect of “made in Italy” design. For anyone who loves hand-made and self-made design work and looks for an improvement of the personal creative portfolio.

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will receive a certificate of attendance. If the student wishes to convert the class hours attended in Italy into academic credits, he or she will have to arrange a suitable conversion with his or her faculty in the home country, before attending the course in Rome. QIAD can supply the specifications of the module in order to assist in this conversion. As reference, the summer program is equivalent to 3 ECTS.
