Basic course to learn all the techniques necessary to take professional photographic images for creative or documentation purposes.
Learning to take photographs is not just a question of technique and technology. Basic concepts, focal lengths, exposure, sensitivity, colour temperature, framing, choice of subject. And then acquisition, retouching and printing.
The course is aimed at all those who for creative or professional reasons are interested in acquiring competences and developing skills in the creation of photographic images. Extremely useful completion to training and a necessary instrument of creation and communication in the field of the profession for architects, traditional and multimedia graphic designers and professionals in general. There are no particular entrance requirements for this basic module. The course is preparatory for later specialist workshops for the creation of specific professional figures.

The course provides knowledge of the camera system with theoretical and practical courses on the fundamental components of the equipment, starting from the totally manual system to introduce the student to the functional relationships between exposure times, stops, focus, the rapidity of sensitive products and illumination techniques. The historical-critical analysis will be conducted on the basis of an extensive bibliography with guided tours to the most important photography exhibitions taking place during the course. The digital system will be introduced in relation to the camera, and later elaborations with the use of photo retouch and other applications present in specific software. The photos taken in the practical sections will be selected for an end-of-course exhibition.
